The Shun Classic Utility Knife is crafted for precision, control, and everyday versatility. Built with premium Japanese craftsmanship, it combines exceptional sharpness with a beautifully balanced design, making it ideal for peeling, trimming, slicing fruits, vegetables, and smaller ingredients.
Forged with a VG-MAX steel core hardened to 61 (±1) HRC, the blade delivers outstanding edge retention and long-lasting sharpness. It is clad in 32 layers of Damascus stainless steel, creating a striking pattern while enhancing strength, flexibility, and durability. The double-sided edge ensures smooth and effortless cutting performance for both left- and right-handed users.
The handle is made from durable black pakkawood, shaped in a traditional Japanese chestnut design for a secure and comfortable grip. Reinforced with high-quality resins, it is resistant to moisture and built for long-term use. The integrated tang construction enhances stability and balance for precise handling.
